At Ascend, we believe that a truly exceptional education happens when parents, students, and teachers all work together as a team. That's why parent involvement is a core part of our school community—not just an extra request, but a vital agreement you make when you choose Ascend for your child.
When you enroll your student here, you are joining a close-knit "Ascend Family." The roles parents play are carefully designed to strengthen our culture, deepen relationships, and create meaningful experiences that directly support your children's growth, character, and education. These aren't just "jobs"—they are opportunities to invest in the kind of school and community we all want for our kids.
When we accept a student to attend at Ascend, we don't just accept the student, we accept the parents/family too.
Our Parent Role Expectations
Every family (husband and wife count as one unit) is expected to sign up for and complete at least two Parent Roles each school year.
In addition, if you have a student in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, we also ask you to sign up for four Lunch Mom/Dad duties per year.
This is one of the ways that we keep tuition so low and accessible to so many families.
These expectations help ensure that the many meaningful events and activities at Ascend can happen with excellence and joy. The board members are heavily involved in the planning and execution of all of these activities but parents help a lot.

Families who have served in past years often describe Ascend as feeling like a true family. The parents who invest their time are the ones who get to know one another deeply, celebrate together, problem-solve together, and watch their children form stronger, healthier friendships. Serving together creates a powerful sense of unity and shared purpose.
When you pour into these roles, you're not just helping with an event—you're helping shape the culture of the school, supporting your child's teachers, and giving your own student the gift of being part of something bigger than themselves. The relationships you build will make your years at Ascend far more rich and rewarding.
