Julie Barnett
I am Julie Barnett and am very excited to be on the board for Ascend this year. I have been married to my husband, Brett, for 30 years. We have four children and seven grandchildren. We live in Clinton and our youngest daughter attends Ascend. My joy comes from being with and caring for my family. We spend a lot of time together playing games and love to travel and go camping. I love Jesus Christ and strive to serve Him and others. I feel blessed to be part of the Ascend program and to be able to help students learn truth and apply it in their lives.

As a school board we support the school in whatever way we can. If we see a need then we address it. We have regular meetings where we discuss such things as school policy, the students’ academic, emotional, and social needs, and staffing and staffing needs. We also talk through the calendar and any activities that we want to schedule and plan throughout the year. These activities are myriad - school talent shows, temple baptisms, social gatherings, jeopardy, service and humanitarian activities, plays, teacher appreciation lunches, dances, trips, student government, yearbooks, and etc…
